Details

Hot Cocoa, Apple Cider, Sausage Biscuits. A volunteer is needed to pick up the biscuits from McDonald's in Boger City and deliver to the school before 8am on Saturday. Table will need to be set up with hot water dispensers. Hot Cocoa and Apple Cider mixes will need to be obtained (preferably donated).

T-Shirts & Pre Registration Packages

Details

T-shirts will need to sorted before Friday, October 30th into piles based on sizes. Packages for pre-registered participants will need to be put together.

Pre-Registration Package Pick Up

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Friday, October 30th 3pm-6:30pm. Hand out packages to participants who choose to pick up early.

Pre-Registration Table

Saturday, October 31st 7:45-8:45am. Packets will be ready at this table for those participants that pre-registered but did not pick up their packages on Friday, Oct. 30th.

Race Day Registration Table

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Saturday, October 31st 7:45-8:45am. Two volunteers are needed with paper registration forms and clipboards at the front of the school to get participants to complete registration forms. Two more volunteers will be at the table at the back of the school processing the registrations (assigning bib #s).

Chip Table

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Saturday, October 31st 7:45-8:45am. Once participants are registered they will pick a corresponding chip with the same number as their bib number. You will give them the chip with zip ties for them to attach to their shoelace. You may have to help them do this. Also, at the end of the race volunteers are needed to clip the zip ties and collect the chips.

Water Station

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Hand out water to race participants as they run past the halfway point. PCVFD will provide water jugs. Fill small plastic cups with water and hand to runners as they pass. Make sure all trash is picked and thrown in the trash can provided. One volunteer will need a truck to move the table, trash can and water jugs to location and back to school at end of race.

Costume Judges

Be a judge for our costume contest. One winner will receive a prize.

Awards Coordinator

Details

Responsible for gathering CREATIVE awards for all divisions of participants. Please seek out as many donated awards as possible. You will also coordinate the awards table the day of the event.

Promotions Coordinator

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Distribute flyers to local businesses and hand them out at other local 5K's.

Course Supply Coordinator

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Responsible for obtaining flags and safety vests for course volunteers, small cups for distribution of water to participants at the halfway point (preferably donated) and coordinate a water team for the day of the race to fill the water dispensers provided by PCVFD and set up the table and trash can.

Snack and Drink Coordinator

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Responsible for obtaining end of race snacks and drinks for the participants, such as granola bars, crackers, and water bottles (preferably donated). Also, coordinate coolers for the drinks and set up a table on race day. Volunteers will be needed to manage this table. Coordinate a volunteer to pick up bananas from Sonic on Friday, Oct. 30th.

Parking Coordinator

Details

Volunteers are needed to direct traffic to parking areas in front of school and to the overflow parking at the churches across the street if needed.
