This is an early shift. Arrive at Kiwanis Park by 6:15am. Check Runners in, give Bibs and T-shirts. 5k begins 7:30 and 10k begins 8:15. (You will be done by 8:15)

Finish Line High Priority

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Stand at the Finish Line handing out Water, Cheering and Challenge Runners medals. Be in position by 7:40 - First of the 5k Runners will come thru by 7:45am. 10k run begins at 8:15 and first of the runners coming thru 8:50 You will be done by 10am.

Out on the Course High Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Stand out on the streets/ corners to help direct and Cheer on runners/walkers! Make/Bring Motivational Signs to hold ! anything to make it fun !

Location

Specified Roads/ Corners through Carbonton Road into the McIver section/neighborhood. Course maps are provided at cara-nc.org/run - Road assignments given in advance of the event.

5k Sweeper High Priority

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Be the last person on the course to ensure runners/walkers arrive back to the finish line, inform street volunteers that you are the last person through for the 5k. 5K begins in Kiwanis Park promptly at 7:30am

10k Sweeper High Priority

Details

Be the last person on the course to ensure runners/walkers arrive back to the finish line, inform street volunteers that you are the last person through for the 10k. 10K begins in Kiwanis Park promptly at 8:15am

FOOD High Priority

Minimum met.

Details

Cut up oranges into fourths, leave bananas whole, assemble into large foil trays for easy placement (fruit picked up at Golden Corral). Set out any other food/snacks that we have on hand

CARA BOOTH High Priority

Details

Set up tent/table and CARA items to sell (Raffle )- Set up at 7am- (runners out at 7:30 and 8:15) Tear down usually about 10:30am
