Timer Help

The timer is responsible for keeping the stop watch and yelling out times to the time recorder.

Time Recorder

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This person is responsible for neatly recording the times of each runner as the timer yells them out. Neat and quick handwriting and attention to detail is essential for this position.

Finish line helpers

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This person or persons are responsible for making sure runners line up to exit the shoot and have their bibs torn off in the order they crossed the finish line.

Hydration Station

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This person is responsible for handing out any drinks or snacks we may have after the runners have completed their races.

Registration Table

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This person or persons is responsible for collecting walk up registration forms and payment as well as handing out bibs and pins to new registrants. This person needs to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time.

4-8th Grade Leader

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This person will help our 1 mile runners get warmed up and stretch while they wait for their race. They will encourage the older kids to stand along the sidelines and cheer for the younger ones and also talk to them about pacing and clean racing. We may have a large group of older racers there and this person or persons will keep them occupied and engaged while they wait.

2-3rd grade Leader

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This person will help our 2-3rd graders stay engaged during the other races. They will help them warm up and stretch and discuss pacing and fair racing with them as well as encourage them to cheer for the younger and older races.

K-1 Group Leaders

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This person will help our k-1st graders in stretching and fair racing and will encourage them to cheer for the kids racing before and after them.

Course director

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

These people will help our runners navigate the course, especially the one milers.
