We need some people to help us fill sandbags on Thursday, January 16th. We have a passenger van that will fit 15, but if you have your own transportation that would be fine too. We have over 9,000lbs of sand that will go into 40 and 20 pound bags. Bring your gloves and do some manual labor!

The Setup Volunteers are crucial to our success with this event. We need help setting everything up on Thursday, January 16th at the Reno Sparks Convention Center. We will mark the course, prep swag bags and registration, set up stages, fill and transport sandbags (9000lbs), and get the general flow of the event properly adjusted.

Registration Table High Priority

The "Registration Table" position will be crucial to checking participants in. This will involve giving them their swag bags, t-shirts, race numbers, etc.

Registration will be located in the entry of the event center. Look for the competitive timing arch!

Starting Line High Priority

Calling all volunteers for TOUGH SHEEP! This won't qualify you to win the sheep hunt, but we will certainly treat you right! We need many hands to help pull off this event.

The Starting Line volunteers will help get the 30 person waves into the starting area, makeing sure their packs are loaded with wieght, and they are ready to start the competition. They will also get the next wave of competitors ready to go every 15 minutes.

Snack Master High Priority

The snack masters will be in charge of snacks and water during the event. Participants will have their own water bottles, but we will supply some cups and light snacks such as bars, bananas, and trail mix for the participants. There will likely be 2-3 tables set up for this and we will need at least 2 people at each table for the entirety of the event.

Stage 1 Volunteers will do their best to usher competitors into the room, count step ups, ensure safety, and encourage competitors. They will need to be able to answer questions about form and number of reps at station 1.

Stage 2 volunteers will be crucial to ensuring safety of competitors who will be performing pack get ups. Volunteers will need to demonstrate technique and monitor reps of competitors.

Stage 3 High Priority

Stage 3 volunteers will make sure that competitors have their appropriate buckets for carries and that they make it through the course successfully. Volunteers will need to differentiate between male and female weights so that all competitors flow in and out of the course smoothly.
