Number pick-up- RUNNING the race Medium Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Number pick-up volunteers will work during pre-race hours. You will look up bib #'s on a list provided and had out to the participant. You will make sure that they check their personal information on the bib and report and inaccurate information to the Registration Captain.

General Registration Area Volunteers will direct participants into the registration area- pointing out number pick-up for pre-registrants and day of race registration for those looking to register

Direct into the Registration area

Race Amenities Medium Priority

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Race Amenity volunteers will hand out t-shirts or other race give-aways to participants. You will make sure to mark the back of the participants bib number with an "X" to indicate that they picked up their amenity.

Refreshments Medium Priority

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Refreshment volunteers will work under the direction of the Refreshment Captain. You will unpack and display refreshments prior to the race finish or hand out Grab and Go bags (whichever is being used at the event)

As participants come through the refreshment area, you will manage the distribution of items to each participant to ensure that all participants have a chance to get post- race refreshments,

Course Guide High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 17 more volunteers needed.

Details

You will be assigned to a spot on the race course. Once you check in I’ll give you your specific assignment. You’ll need to make sure you are in your spot about 15-30 minutes prior to the start of the race, which would be about 6:30-6:45pm.

We will have a Trail Walker letting know when you are finished.

Split Caller- Mile 1

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

You will be stationed on the course at either the 1 mile marker. You may be responsible for starting the clock and walking the clock out to your spot or it may be dropped off for you. You will be responsible for monitoring the clock and calling out the time to the runners as they pass. Please either wait for the truck to pick up your clock or return it to the finish area.

We will have a Trail Walker letting know when you are finished.

Split Caller- Mile 2

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

You will be stationed on the course at either the 2 mile marker. You may be responsible for starting the clock and walking the clock out to your spot or it may be dropped off for you. You will be responsible for monitoring the clock and calling out the time to the runners as they pass. Please either wait for the truck to pick up your clock or return it to the finish area.

Split Caller-Mile 3

No volunteer spots remaining.

This volunteer task is full.

Details

You will be stationed on the course at either the 3 mile marker. You may be responsible for starting the clock and walking the clock out to your spot or it may be dropped off for you. You will be responsible for monitoring the clock and calling out the time to the runners as they pass. Please either wait for the truck to pick up your clock or return it to the finish area.

We will have a Trail Walker letting know when you are finished.

Water Stop

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

You will be staffing one of the water stops on the course . There will be gallons of water that you will use to fill up cups. Make sure the table is full before the participants come through.

Once the race starts you will either be filling the cups up as they are used or handing them out to the runners. The trail walker will come by to let you know that the last participant ahs passed through.

You will clean up the cups using the garbage bags supplied.

Lead Bike

You must be 21 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

You will either:
* lead the race and have participants follow you along the course
* ride near a wheelchair participant to ensure their safety
* ride along the course to maintain the safety of the course and the particpants


(Lead Bike Experience preferred)

Finish Line

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Direct runners to head to the refreshment area.

Trail Walker

Minimum met, 1 volunteer spot remaining.

Details

The Trail Walker walks behind the last participant and lets the volunteers know that they are done with their assignment.

Number pick-up at GLIRC on June 26 from 1:40-6:00

Details

Give out bibs to registrants.

Clean Up

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers are needed to help clean up tables, chairs, boxes of race supplies and pack them on the truck. Light lifting is required.
You will also be asked to sweep the entire area for garbage that may have blown away
10:30am until done

Set up and watch Awards

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

You will be responsible for setting up the award prior to the race start and sit with them until the start of the award ceremony

Finish Line and Course photographers

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Take photos at the finish line using the camera that will be provided.

Course captain

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Give volunteers their location on the course and an emergency contact card. Also let them know that the trail walker will let them know when they are done

Help hand out awards at award ceremony

At least 1 more volunteer needed.
