Water Stop High Priority

Details

You will be assigned to a water stop along the course. You will be responsible for pouring water into cups, handing it out to the participants, replenishing empty cups as needed and cleaning up the area once finished. You will be provided with a table, water, cups, gloves, garbage bags and receptacles. A trail walker, who walks behind the last participant, will let you know when you are done

This volunteer task is full.

Details

If you sign up for the LONGER time slot you will be walking the 10k course behind the runners! If you sign up for the SHORTER time slot you will be walking the 1 Mile walk behind the walkers. You will follow the last person out on the course who will be finishing the race in the 2 hour time limit until they finish. The 10k walkers will also inform all of the water stop and cheer station volunteers that you are following the last participant and that they are free to go once you have passed by them.

Lead Bike High Priority

Details

You will be leading the runners along the race route and once done will go back out on the course to monitor it for safety issues regarding cars that may have gotten on the course, etc.
Talking to runners and cheering them on is not permitted.
***previous lead bike experience preferred, but will train newcomers***

Split Caller High Priority

You will be assigned to a mile split along the course and will be calling out the times to the runners as they pass. A trail walker, who walks behind the last participant, will let you know when you are done.

Before and after race task

Start and Finish Water Medium Priority

Details

You will be filling up cups of water prior to the race for race participants near the start line. After the race starts this will become the finish water stop and you will prepare for race participants after they finish and will also be handing out electrolyte drink that you will pre-mix in a jug. Once the race is completed, please empty any remaining filled cups. Our race crew will break down the table.

You arrange awards on a table after the race begins and help distribute them during the award ceremony. You will be given a list of the winners and you may be helping the race announcer, if applicable. You will mark off the name as you hand out the award and if there is a discrepancy you will direct them to the timers table.

Water Stop

Details

You will be assigned to a location on the course where you will set up the area to hand out water to the runners as they pass by. Our set up crew will have dropped off the supplies which will include tables, cups, water, garbage receptacles, and rakes. There will be a trail walker following the last runner who will let you know when the last runner has passed. You will then clean up the area and leave the supplies at the stop for our set up crew to pack up.

Cheering Section!!! Medium Priority

Details

You will be assigned to a spot on the course to be a CHEERLEADER and motivate runners/walkers as they pass by! Wear your brightest colors, bring bells, whistles, horns, and whatever you have to be the LOUDEST and HAPPIEST folks around! This is a GREAT task for families, scouting groups, social groups, company retreat outings, etc!!!
