Details

Packet pickup will occur on the Thursday and Friday before the race at Rochester Running Company (1387 Mt Hope Ave). Responsibilities include using a computer to look up athlete, assign a bib, and distribute shirts. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift for training and a smooth transition between shifts.

Same-Day Packet and Registration Medium Priority

Volunteers will meet in Celebration Center on the lower level of the Third Presbyterian Church by 6:15 AM to receive assignment and instruction. Same-day packet pickup and registration will open at 6:45 AM. Responsibilities include using a computer to look up athlete, assign a bib, and distribute shirts.

Parking High Priority

Responsibilities include directing athletes as they park. You will work to keep everyone safe and provide answers to questions about directions and timing of the event. A limited number of part-time positions will be available to those who would like to help, but would also like to race or course marshal.

Responsibilities include directing athletes as they arrive at the church and start line. You will work to keep everyone safe and provide answers to questions about directions and timing of the event. A limited number of part-time positions will be available to those who would like to help, but would also like to race or course marshal.

Course Marshal High Priority

Details

Volunteers will meet in Johnson Hall on the main level of the Third Presbyterian Church by 6:45 AM to receive assignment and instruction. By 7:30, you should walk to your assigned spot on the course to be in place by the start of the races. Inform runners of any hazards or turns in the route. If participants need help, notify race staff. Cheer for, thank, encourage and motivate participants. Dress for the weather!

Aid Station Medium Priority

Details

Stock aid station with provided supplies, offer water to athletes, clean up area. Contact race organization if you have a group that would like to coordinate one of the aid stations.

Post-Race Party

Details

Will help set up the tent area with tables, signage, and food.

Food Preparation and Service High Priority

Details

Volunteers will be working in the church kitchen to help prepare food and transport to the Part Tent. During the Post-Race Party, volunteers will help serve food and keep tables full of delicious goodies.
