Providing the competitors with results is an essential part of any competition and we need you for this event!
During the ride the cyclists sprint up three hills or Timed Segments known King of the Mountain [KOM] sections. We use timing equipment to catch their time at the bottom and then again at the top of each hill.
We are looking for six people to be the Timing Crew out on the course. One person would be stationed at each timing location - one at the bottom/top of each hill.
What do you have to do? Meet the Timing Manager at one of the Timing Points – help set up the gear (very simple) and then cheer on the riders as they go by.
Sound too technical! Don't worry - we'll have it all set up. In addition to cheering on the riders - you're there to ensure that the gear doesn't get blown over or disturbed.
You'll have a front row seat to watch all the action while serving a key role in the event.
Note: This is a general overview of the Timing Crew's job. Once you sign up - we'll contact you to review your specific schedule, transportation requirements, and other details.
