Work the timer buttons.
Pass out popsicle sticks at the finish for places.
Wrangle finishers to keep them in their lanes while we process the times.

Use the starter gun, give instructions, and use correct commands, and organize participants at the start line of each track race.

Long Jump

Details

Rake the pit, measure a jump (informally with a taped-down tape measure alongside the pit), record jumps on a participant's bib. Keep the jump, pit area safe.

High Jump

Details

Organize jumpers in orderly fashion, adjusting the bar to their desired height or using the bungee cord for a "high jump experience." Record jumps on the participants bib. Keep jumpers off the turn of the track!

Shot Put

Details

Organize the throwing of the shot in the shot put circle in the SW corner of the facility, which includes informal measuring of a throw using a tape. Record the throw on the participant's bib. Keep the area safe.

Turbo Jav

Details

Organize the throwing of the turbo jav, a plastic javelin with a rubber tip. Keep participant's in an orderly line for the throws, have someone informally measure the throws using the yard markers on the field, return javs to the launch area quickly.

CHS football field from the 0 to 50 yard line, east end of the field.

Take $2 per participant and have them sign a waiver. Give out a bib number and labels for the anticipated number of track events.
