Day of Event

Event Setup High Priority

Event Setup & Tear Down - Volunteers are responsible for early morning setup of event tents, tables, start and finish line, as well as loading and
unloading of supplies the day before and after event. Also responsible for tear down after event as well.

Day of Event Registration Medium Priority

Day of Event Registration - Volunteers are responsible for ensuring completed registration forms, correct change given, processing credit cards, bib number
recording and dispersion, and informing participants of event booths and event schedule.

Packet Pick-up (Day of Event) Medium Priority

Packet Pick-up (Day of Event) - Volunteers will be in charge of ensuring preregistered participants received t-shirts and race packets. Understanding that
shirts are guaranteed to preregistered participants, but not the shirt size. Due to the randomness of participant shirt sizes, it is difficult to ensure everyone
receives the shirt size of their choosing. An understanding of event day schedule and tent layout is a plus.

Course Setup Low Priority

Details

Course Setup - Volunteers are responsible for accurate course setup. This includes turn around stations, water, cups, garbage cans, marking, sponsor signs,
and other items to be along the course. Will also be responsible for the transportation of Turn Around Cheerers/ Water Dispensers both to and from
stations. Clearance with local city and police for the usage of ATVs is a must. Will be stationed at 10K turn around in case of emergency.

Turn Around Cheerer/Water Dispenser Medium Priority

Details

Turn Around Cheerer/ Water Dispenser - Volunteers are responsible for filing and handing out water at specific points at the race. Are also encouraged to be
energetic, cheerful, and encouraging to participants. Costumes, themes for their station, and music are also encouraged if volunteers wish to do so.

Tear Down Medium Priority

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Tear Down - Volunteers are general also part of the setup process, but not always. Tear down volunteers are required to be on the beach at the start of the
event. They will assist in the moving of equipment to new stations while participants are making their way through the course. Tear down will follow shortly
after the last participant has come through.

Snack Tent Medium Priority

Details

Snack Tent - Volunteers will be responsible for the preparation, setup, and safe dispersion of food and beverages for participants after they finish.
Food handlers card is not mandatory, but preferred.

Registration Assistance Low Priority

Registration Assistance- Volunteers will help direct participants who are both preregistered and registering the day of the event to the designated
tents that they will need to see in order to participate. Extended standing and good communication skills are a must.
Skills: Good communication skills, Knowledge of event layout, Able to stand long periods

Safety and Communications High Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Safety and Communications - Volunteers will be positioned throughout the course and start area to provide a comprehensive communications team
to provide a safe enviroment for everyone participating and on the beach. HAM radio operators or those with experience in chain of command style
communications is preffered. Contact EVC/ CERT group for assistance in this area.

Skills: Communication skills, Chain of Command understanding, Knowledge of Long Range Hand Radios or HAM Radio operator

Medical Tent High Priority

Details

Medical Tent - Volunteers will provide the first aid care for participants that seek medical assistance during the event. Past experience in the medical
field are preferred.

Skills: Basic medical first aid skills, Understanding of specific medical needs of runners and walkers, Good communication skills

Photography Low Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Photography - Volunteers will be positioned throughout the course and the starting area to take pictures of participants during the event. Basic
photography skills are preffered. Must have their own camera. Pictures taken are property of NCRD. The district is not resposible for damages to
volunteers belongings, so any equipment damaged is the responsibility of the owner.

Day Before Event

Packet Pick-up (Day Prior to Event) Medium Priority

Packet Pick-up (Day Prior to Event) - Volunteers will work in a split shift at the tent near Manzanita Grocery & Deli, per owners permission. Responsible
for accurate shift dispersion and tracking, correct packet handouts, registration of participants, and information on event times and location.

Skills: Good communicator, Outgoing, Ability to sit for extended periods, Recording information

Farmer's Market Booth Low Priority

Details

Farmer’s Market Booth - Volunteers will be positioned at the Friday night Farmer’s Market Booth in Manzanita, the night before the event. The will
provide packet pick-up, registration, race day information, and district information as well. Energetic and excited individuals are prefferred.
