Time commitment is to attend a 1 hour training session before the race and then be at your station at your designated intersection by 7:30am, Sunday September 18 and stay at your intersection until the designated "street open" time arrives. Depending on how long you can volunteer Sunday morning, we can assign you to a "start-end" intersection that will re-open sometime around 8:00-8:30am or a "finish-end" intersection that wouldn't re-open until sometime closer to 10:00-10:30am. Then, the morning of the event, you'll inspect intersections and report back to headquarters any developing problems or missing volunteers. Time commitment is a one hour commander training session approximately two weeks before the event, a couple of hours to call or meet with the closure guards that will be assigned to you in order to train them and re-confirm their commitment to show up on race day, and then from 6:30am to 10:30am on Sunday Sept 18 during the race.
