Volunteers will work as a team to quickly fill goodie bags with all the donated items that our race participants will receive. We anticipate having to fill over 400 adult bags and 100 kids bags this year... if not more!

Help us organize and distribute race packets the day before the event. Volunteers will sort t-shirts by size and group packets/shirts by team/company/organization. This will allow a fast, easy distribution for all of our participants taking advantage of the early registration and pre-race packet pick-up.

Each volunteer will be assigned a specific location and required to stay there from the start of the race until the last runner passes by. Since portions of our race course wind through the stadium parking lots, we need trustworthy, assertive volunteers to guide and direct incoming and outgoing traffic to specific zones. Whenever a runner is nearby, the Parking Director must stop and hold ALL traffic to ensure the safety of our participants. We have three areas within in the parking lots of the stadium that will need to be managed. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who want to be in the middle of the action without having to run the course. One of the many reasons our Kids Fun Run is so much fun is because we team up with a variety of local mascots to entertain our young participants. The mascots will lead our pre-race exercises to get all our kids ready to run! The Mascot Guide is an important role because you will be responsible for keeping those wild characters in line and on time. The mascots and Mascot Guide will meet in a 'dressing room' near the entrance. Then just before the Kids Fun Run begins, you will guide the mascots down onto the baseball field and into position. After the race is over, the mascots are encouraged to meet and mingle with guests for the remainder of the event.

To provide the best experience to ALL our guests, we are looking for volunteers to assist participants in-to and out-of the stadium elevator. This allows a much easier access to the baseball field for participants using strollers and wheelchairs. The alternative is carrying strollers and wheelchairs down aisle steps. Located near our main band stage, super fun kids activity zone and food truck... the Awards Table always gets a good crowd checking out what top racers will win. Volunteers for this table are responsible for keeping the awards organized and safe. Our Director and Master of Ceremonies will present the awards at the end of each event, with your assistance.

As participants finish their races, they will be quickly guided off the baseball field, up stadium steps and onto the concourse. This is where they will reach our re-fueling zone. Volunteers managing this zone will hand out bottled water, fruit and other healthy snacks. The goal is to keep the area clean and distribute items quickly to prevent any congestion on the concourse.

We are looking for energetic and friendly volunteers to help with our Kids Fun Run. You first duty is to encourage kids (and parents) to join our fun warm-up exercises led by local mascots. Next you'll help guide the participants into place for the start of the race. Once the race has begun, you will move towards the finish line to direct participants up and off the field to prevent congestion. This might be the easiest (and fastest) volunteer opportunity around. We are looking for volunteers who are one-part cheerleader and one-part friendly police officer. As participants (and their parents) circle the warning track during the Fun Run, it will be your job to ensure they don't wander onto the grass field. We need your help to keep everyone on the right track, at the same time cheering them on towards the finish line! We are looking for a few volunteers to help guide 5K and 10K participants back into the stadium as they near the end of their race. Runners (and walkers) might be pretty tired at this point, so we hope you can provide extra motivation and encouragement as they enter the stadium towards the finish line. Bring signs and noise machines to energize participants, while carefully ensuring they stay on track and enter the stadium safely.

As participants finish their race, they will be quickly directed to the exit aisle located near third base. You will be positioned at this exit area, and stocked with bottles of water. Encourage participants to exit quickly, directing them up and onto the concourse. Congratulate them on the run and kindly provide a bottle of water, informing them that more water as well as fruit and snacks are up on the concourse. We cannot allow anyone to walk onto the grass of the baseball field, so it's important the exit keeps moving and flowing smoothly.

We are thrilled to welcome back The Salvation Army Canteen Truck again this year. This vehicle plays an integral role during emergency relief, providing much-needed food and drinks to those affected in disaster areas. During our event, the Canteen will have a much more relaxing job duty, as they are responsible for cooking our yummy hot dogs! We need your help as a volunteer to assist the Canteen team by setting up the food & beverage tables, signage and encouraging guests to fuel-up with our free food. You will also be responsible for managing a donation kettle that will be located at this area. A staff member will collect the kettle at the end of the event and assist you with clean-up.
