Materials Drop-Off Low Priority

Details

This station will require two people to be at throughout the entire event. This task is a station for volunteers to connect and drop off any used or unnecessary materials including but not limited to; cones, signs, water coolers, etc.

Car Sweep Medium Priority

Details

This position requires three volunteers to follow the runners and collect cones/materials. One person will drive a vehicle while the others are collecting the items and putting them in the car.

This station will require 4-5 volunteers to help with the following:
-register day-of runners
-hand out participant bags
-liaison between registration and official race coordinator

Finish Line Assistance Medium Priority

Details

This position will require volunteers to assistant the runners that have completed the race by handing out vouchers for those that actually beat Beethoven, directing them to water/bananas/granola bars/etc, and having general knowledge of the events for the rest of the day.

Clean-Up Assistance High Priority

Details

This task requires a lot of people so that the event can be cleaned and finished in a timely manner. We are asking people to assist that can lift tables, chairs, music stands, etc. They will also be sent to return materials where necessary to the Warner Theatre or Erie Philharmonic Office.

Race Route Monitors High Priority

August 25, 2018

Details

These volunteers will be assigned to a specific street intersection where we must have a volunteer at all times while the race is taking place. These volunteers must be comfortable standing for periods of time in the sun, directing traffic, and being alert to any runners that may need assistance. This position may not require monitoring the entire race, based off of your location, however you are able to leave and return to Perry Square once the Car Sweep has hit your intersection.

***Please arrive by 9:00am to be sent to your space on the race route

Water Station Attendant Low Priority

Details

At this station, you will fill water cups for the runners passing by. Coolers and cups are provided, one volunteer may have to refill a water cooler.
