Friday, April 18th from 11am-2pm | Walk the course route to hang door-hangers at houses and businesses. The door hangers will notify these neighbors about the race, street closures, parking information, etc.

Recommended for a team or group of 10 folks that can walk around Lancaster City for two hours.

Accessibility: Due to the conditions of sidewalks along the route, steps leading up to houses, and the lack of places to sit/rest, we do not recommend individuals using wheelchairs or those in need of mobility accommodations to participate in this task.

Details

Assist individuals picking up race day supplies by checking them into our online system, filling bags with their supplies, or locating their team's bag from our pick-up area. We'll show you how everything is done- no experience necessary!

Team Bag Assembly

Details

Fold t-shirts into piles by size so that volunteers can quickly and easily locate them to create individual and team bags.

Accessibility: Volunteers should sit or stand to perform this task and must be able to fold shirts. Volunteers may have to move heavy boxes of tshirts but if they are not able, the Volunteer Coordinator can accommodate and move boxes for individuals as needed.

Parking Lot Attendant (Day-of)

Details

Stand at the entrance of the lot to greet individuals. Check their name using a provided list of folks, and provide them with a parking pass. Kindly inform anyone not on the list that the lot is reserved for Race vendors, coordinators, and volunteers and that the closest garages are on Duke Street and East King.

We recommend bringing a folding chair!

Accessibility: Must be able to stand for periods of time and communicate verbally with others.

Volunteer check-in (Day-of)

Details

Check volunteers in using a provided list of volunteers and their respective assignments. Supply them with their tshirt and a safety vest if needed, and instruct them on where to go according to the provided information sheet.

Assist with any tasks relating to the beginning and end of the race.

Great for a group of 15-20!

Accessibility: Must be able to verbally communicate with others, and physically assist and tend to race participants if needed. This task is not recommended for individuals in need of mobility accommodations.

Great for a team of 15-20! Volunteers will report directly behind Lincoln Middle School and assist with the water stop, timing mat, and race clocks.

Youth groups may volunteer if adults are present to provide guidance (e.g. scouts)
