Parking High Priority

Details

Volunteers assist with the directing of parking for the race. Volunteers need to be on site at the Nockamixon Marina by 4:00 AM, and are welcome to stay during the race to help in other areas as needed. All volunteers get a T-shirt, Steelman Racing swag, and access to the food tent. All volunteers earn a 50% registration credit for helping out at the race that can be used for themselves or by another athlete.

Registration Support High Priority

Details

Volunteers assist with checking in athletes for the race on Sunday from 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM. All volunteers get a T-shirt, Steelman Racing swag, and access to the food tent. All volunteers earn a 50% registration credit for helping out at the race that can be used for themselves or by another athlete.

Race Volunteers High Priority

Details

Volunteers needed to support athletes and crew during the race from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. All volunteers get a T-shirt, Steelman Racing swag, and access to the food tent. All volunteers earn a 50% registration credit for helping out at the race that can be used for themselves or by another athlete.

Water Support - Kayak

Details

Kayakers are needed to monitor swim safety during the swim portion of the race. Kayakers can bring their own kayak or use one supplied by Steelman Racing, and arrive at 6:00 AM at the Tohickon Boat Launch to receive instructions and a kayak for the race. All kayak volunteers get a T-shirt, Steelman Racing swag, and access to the food tent. All volunteers earn a 50% registration credit for helping out at the race that can be used for themselves or by another athlete.

Lifeguard Support High Priority

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Certified life guards are needed to monitor swim safety during the swim portion of the race. All life guards must possess a Red Cross lifeguard certification and send it to Dave at info@steelmanracing.com two weeks prior to the event. Lifeguards must arrive at 6:00 AM at the Tohickon Boat Launch to receive instructions and kayak before the race. All lifeguards get a T-shirt, Steelman Racing swag, and access to the food tent. This is a paid position and lifeguards will be compensated $60.00 for their time.

Post Race Clean-up

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers are needed to help clean-up and tear down the race. Lifting and moving heavy objects is associated with this volunteer position. All volunteers earn a 50% registration credit for helping out at the race that can be used for themselves or by another athlete.
