Your role is to help set up for the event before it begins. Set up includes putting up signs, tables, banners, materials, and etc. You will need to arrive by 6:30 am to assist with set up.

Your role is to welcome participants and point them to the registration and sign in table. It is important that you have a friendly and positive attitude and greet participants with a smile. You will need to arrive by 7 am.

Details

Your role is to ensure each participant is registered and signed in and to handle on-site registrations for those who did not register. You will also be responsible for handing out t-shirts to those who opted to receive a t-shirt when they registered for the 5K online. After registration, your role will convert to distributing snacks and water to participants and other materials. You will need to arrive by 7 am to assist with registration.

PARKING ATTENDANT High Priority

Your role is to help clean up after the race to ensure we leave the site clean. This is a perfect task for anyone who wants to participate in the 5K and also volunteer or someone who can't arrive first-thing in the morning. Please arrive by 10 am.

Your role is to promote and spread the Miles for Malawi 5k spirit! You will be responsible for cheering and encouraging participants and directing them to stay on the designated course. You will need to arrive by 7 am.

PHOTOGRAPHER Medium Priority

Your role will be to take high quality photos of the event and participants. Please arrive by 8 am.

ACTIVITY STATION High Priority

Help to facilitate Malawian activities including teaching people how to drum, balance something on their head, play with homemade soccer balls, learn some Malawian facts, or taste Malawian food. You will receive specific training for your station prior to the event.
