RUN WITH PURPOSE ~ WALK WITH HOPE ~ MAKE A DIFFERENCE! 

Join us for the Amazing Grace Race on Saturday, September 26th as runners and walkers of all ages come together to benefit the children and teens served by Sidewalk Hope. The 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. with race day registration opening at 8:00 a.m. Whether you're chasing a personal record or simply enjoying a morning with family and friends, every step helps to make a positive impact and offer hope to local children!  Every dollar raised stays right here in our community, serving local children and teens through Sidewalk Hope.

5K RACE INFORMATION

• Timed race beginning and ending at Drayton Mills
• USATF-sanctioned course (pending final certification soon)
• All participants registered by September 11th will receive an Amazing Grace Race t-shirt
• Medals awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Men's, Women's, and Youth (17 & under) divisions

FAMILY FRIENDLY ~ CHILDREN WELCOME!

• Children ages 10 and under can enjoy our FREE Fun Zone on the Drayton Mills green space, featuring age-appropriate games, activities, and snacks while families enjoy the race together. 

WHAT IS SIDEWALK HOPE?  

Sidewalk Hope is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to positively impact the lives of children in the heart of our city and the communities in which they live through the hope of Jesus Christ. 

We take church beyond the traditional four walls. Every week, our big yellow truck becomes a mobile children's church, traveling directly into underserved neighborhoods to meet children right where they live and play.

By building lasting relationships, sharing the Gospel, and demonstrating Christ's love in practical ways, we are able to bring hope to children who might never have the opportunity to know the love of Jesus from a traditional church setting. 

WHAT DOES SIDEWALK HOPE DO?

Every week, Sidewalk Hope serves more than 300 children and teens by bringing church directly into the neighborhoods where they live. Our big yellow truck visits five apartment communities in Spartanburg and Greenville, building relationships with children and families in underserved areas through consistent, year-round ministry.

Each weekly visit includes outdoor play, music, Bible lessons, scripture activities, prayer, and healthy snack bags with fresh fruit. By faithfully showing up week after week, trust grows, lives are impacted, and children experience the hope and love of Jesus Christ in a safe and caring environment.

Throughout the year, Sidewalk Hope extends that care in many practical ways. We provide backpacks filled with school supplies, Christmas Blessing Bags, Camp Grace scholarships for teens, additional food during the summer months, Bibles, blankets, coats, toiletries, and other essential items as needs arise. Last year alone, 750 children received backpacks and another 750 received Christmas Blessing Bags, while 25 teens attended Camp Grace for a life-changing week.

As Sidewalk Hope celebrates 11 years of ministry in Spartanburg and expands into Greenville, our mission remains the same: to faithfully meet children where they are, build lasting relationships, share the Gospel, and demonstrate Christ's love through both practical care and consistent presence. By taking church beyond the traditional four walls, we reach children who might never otherwise walk through the doors of a church.

HOW WILL THIS RACE HELP? 

Every registration helps provide year-round ministry to local children and teens through Sidewalk Hope. Race proceeds support weekly neighborhood outreach, provides an additional food source, Bible resources, leadership programs, Camp Grace scholarships, school supplies, Christmas Blessing Bags, and other essential needs throughout the year.
