Details

The role of our set-up volunteers will be responsible for assisting the race staff and race director in setting up the aid station table, the packet pickup table, assembling race packets, and post race awards or medals. These individuals should be able to drive, lift at least 50 pounds, and have a hop to it attitude. In the event these hours occur prior to daylight hours please be equipped with a headlamp and any other apparel needs depending on the setting (indoor or outdoor / cold rainy)

Packet Pickup

Details

The race day packet and bib pickup volunteer will be responsible for passing out race bibs, apparel that was ordered, and timing tags and straps. For the majority of our events we will be using the race day check in app that can be downloaded with Android or Apple here:

When you open the app you will be able to do a simple search by typing in the race name. It will then prompt you for a password which will be included in the race email sent out by our volunteer coordinator the week of the event.

Course Monitor

(Arrows will be at every turn so no worries)

We will need two course monitors at the intersection of Newkirk Way and Watson. Runners will be running from Trailblazer Park and will be turning right onto Newkirk Way from Watson and then we will need another volunteer to send the runners down Grayson from Newkirk. The runners will make a large loop around the community before merging back on to Newkirk Way and making a right on Newkirk and then another right back onto Watson. (Arrows will be at every turn)

Sweeper

Details

The role of a sweeper is to either maintain position with the last runner to ensure all runners are safely off the course all while picking up any race materials (arrows or flags) that might have been placed on the course to direct the runners. Please make sure that you do not pick up arrows that might be at various intersections where runners are double backing or merging from another location on the course. Only pick up the arrows as you “see” them in the direction of the race.

Tear Down

The role of our tear-down volunteers will be assisting our race staff and race director in quickly but cleanly packing up timing equipment, the aid station, and any other staging area materials like cones or tents. These individuals should be able to drive, lift at least 50 pounds, and have a hop to it attitude. In the event these hours occur prior to daylight hours please be equipped with a headlamp and any other apparel needs depending on the setting (indoor or outdoor / cold rainy)
