5K Course Sweep Medium Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Minimum met, 1 volunteer spot remaining.

Details

With a delayed start, follow the last runner on Foot or Bike from a distance and pick up flags, signs and other course markings. This also lets the on course volunteers know that there are no more runners and they can break down and return to the start/finish area.

5K Bike Lead/Course Clear Marshal Medium Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Bike in font of the 5K Runners. Lead will leave 10 minutes minutes before the 5k start to clear course, make sure all course markings are still in place, and let anyone on course know that the 5K runners will be coming through.

Gran Fondo Rest Stop/Aid Station

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Set up Rest Stop. Having food and water ready for all participants. Being visible to welcome all the riders to the Rest Stop. Distribute water and food to the thirsty/hungry cyclists. After all cyclists have passed (indicated by the course sweeper arriving at the aid station, break down aid station and bring items back to the start/finish area.)

Details

Welcome back and cheer on all cyclists and runners as they cross the finish line. Hand out Challenge Coins to all participants.

Friday Afternoon Packet Pickup/Swag Distribution Volunteer Medium Priority

Details

During the Friday Packet Pickup/Social event, volunteer will hand out the race packets and other participant information. Event Runs from 3-8pm at Hi-Wire in South Knoxville

During the Friday Packet Pickup/Social event, volunteer will hand out the race packets and other participant information. Gran Fondo and 5K Packet Pickup runs from 6:00-8:30am.

Gran Fondo/5K Food Prep

Details

Setup tables, put out food and drinks for post-race refreshments. Keep refreshments stocked.

Gran Fondo Course Monitor

Help show riders where to go, let traffic know cyclists are on the road or coming, make area safe for riders.

Event Tear Down and Clean Up

Details

Assist the race staff and other volunteers with breaking down of the race site.
We always want to leave our event space better than when we found it. Come hang with us after the race and make sure everything is cleaned up.
