Set-Up and Tear-Down Medium Priority

Details

Description: Set-up and tear-down volunteers are on hand to provide physical labor and support to race staff. This could include moving tables, chairs, boxes, hanging signage, etc.

Duties: Be ready and willing to step in as needed with helping set up site and then with tearing down of site after event concludes. May require heavy lifting.

Time: Arrive on site by 6am and on site until event ends around 10:30am

Course Marshalls Medium Priority

Details

Description: Course Marshalls provide direction to race participants and instruct them how and where to stay on course.

Duties: Man specific post and provide race participants with verbal and physical cues on how and where to stay on course (ex: “Turn Right here!” while pointing in proper direction)

Time: Arrive on site by 7am, on course at assigned post by 7:40am, and on post until last runner passes (9:00am - 9:45am or so)

Water Stop Medium Priority

Description: Staff water stop along course, filling up water cups for participants, handing out to participants as they come through, cleaning up trash and table after event.

Duties: Ensuring water stop is set and ready to go by race start, handing out water cups to participants as they come through, providing encouraging words and cheering participants on, cleaning up trash and table after event.

Time: Arrive on site by 7am, on course at assigned post by 7:40am, and on post until last runner passes (9:00am - 9:45am or so).

Kids Area Medium Priority

Details

Description: Staff Kid’s area and assist with variety of children’s activities (including face painting and games) and helping to ensure child safety.

Duties: Staff and assist with variety of children’s activities, act as a positive role model, and ensure child safety.

Time: Arrive on site by 7am and on site until event ends around 10:30am.
