On-Course H2O Station Medium Priority

Details

Two volunteers needed to set up and monitor on-course water station. Volunteers fill cups about half way with water from the cooler and set on table for runners to grab. Volunteers pick up all cups dropped on the ground and place in trash bags.

Location

On the race course, at the 1- mile (on the way out) and 2-mile (on the way back) point. It is one location; tables will be set up on both sides of the trail to accommodate runners going out and coming back on the course.

Course Turnaround Monitor High Priority

Details

One volunteer needed to set up a large cone at the turnaround point of the course. Volunteer will call out to runners to go around the cone before heading back on the course.

Location

Turnaround point of the race, at the intersection of Chisholm Trail and MLK Jr. Ave (edge of UMHB campus).

Course Monitor Medium Priority

Details

Direct runners to round the sidewalk near 35 after start of race.. and also not to cut through the grass on the way back around towards finish. ... & Cheer for them! .. they're almost done!

Location

Grassy round-a-bout an eighth mile after start area near 35, **(is also round-a-bout) nearing back to general finish area.

Awards High Priority

Details

Awards are announced and given to the top overall male and female finishers, and the top three male and female finishers per age group at the end of the race. Age groups: 11&U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 *etc. to 70+ . Task will be to make/provide at least 68 awards to be handed out after the race. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place awards to look consistent. The 2, Grand, over-all male and female awards need to stand out :)
