5K Race Timers High Priority

Details

Manually record the finishing times of participants in the 5K race. Volunteers will be positioned at the finish line with stopwatches, clipboards, and timing sheets to note the race bib numbers and corresponding finish times as participants cross the finish line.
Time: During the 5K race, including pre-race setup and post-race data collection.
Skills Needed: Strong attention to detail, quick reflexes, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, comfortable working in teams to ensure accurate time recording.
Additional Details:

Spotters: Some volunteers will serve as spotters, calling out bib numbers to the timers as runners approach the finish line.
Recorders: Other volunteers will record the times on sheets as they are called out by the timers.

Task: Bring the energy and excitement to the event by cheering on participants at various points along the course, especially near the finish line! Turkey Cheerleaders will dress up in fun, festive costumes (turkey hats or outfits encouraged) and keep spirits high with chants, signs, and enthusiastic encouragement. Your goal is to motivate participants and keep them smiling throughout the event.
Time: During the 5K and Fun Run, stationed along the course and at the finish line.
Skills Needed: High energy, outgoing personality, creative spirit, and love for fun! No formal cheerleading experience required—just enthusiasm and a loud voice.
Additional Responsibilities:

Hold fun, motivational signs and distribute high-fives.
Lead chants to boost morale, especially for kids and families participating.
Encourage participants to keep going, especially during challenging parts of the course.
This role is all about creating a fun, uplifting atmosphere and making sure everyone feels supported!
