Race Course & Event Setup High Priority

The Race Course & Event Setup team is responsible for preparing the 5K race area to ensure a smooth and organized event. This includes setting up key event areas, marking the race route, and ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are in place before participants arrive.Race Course Preparation:

Set up mile markers and directional signage along the race route.
Place cones, barricades, or flags to designate the course.
Ensure water stations are stocked and positioned correctly.
Confirm the start and finish line are clearly marked and decorated.
Event Area Setup:

Arrange the registration/check-in table with participant materials.
Set up sponsor/vendor booths, tables, and tents as assigned.
Ensure the medical station is properly positioned and stocked.
Install banners, backdrops, and any event-related decorations.
Logistics & Safety Check:

Test sound systems for announcements and music.
Verify accessibility and clear pathways for participants and spectators.
Ensure all stations (volunteer check-in, refreshment area, etc.) are fully equipped.
Coordinate with security and emergency personnel to confirm safety measures.

Mid-Race Support & Event Breakdown High Priority

Details

The Mid-Race Support & Event Breakdown team ensures the smooth continuation of the 5K event and manages the teardown process after the race concludes. This includes monitoring race stations, assisting participants, and dismantling event structures efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized space.

Mid-Race Support:
Monitor water stations to ensure they remain stocked.
Assist with crowd control and guide participants as needed.
Support race officials with any on-the-spot needs or adjustments.
Keep the start/finish line and event area clear and accessible.
Ensure medical personnel can quickly reach any participant in need.
Event Breakdown & Cleanup:
Collect and remove all race signage, cones, and mile markers.
Breakdown and pack up tables, tents, and chairs from event areas.
Assist vendors and sponsors with dismantling booths.
Gather and properly dispose of all trash and recycling materials.
Ensure all rental equipment is returned to designated locations.
Perform a final sweep of the venue to confirm nothing is left behind.

The first friendly faces our runners see! You’ll handle check-ins, hand out race bibs, and distribute other swag. There are two assignments, pre-race pickup on Friday, April 24th and race day pickup on April 25th.

Course Marshals High Priority

Be one of our "Directional Experts." You’ll be stationed along the route to ensure runners stay on track and most importantly to provide high-fives and loud encouragement.

Water Station High Priority

Details

Keep the momentum flowing! You’ll be preparing water and handing out cups to runners as they pass by. You'll also be responsible for clearing the area of trash and debris left on the ground.

Finish Line & Medals High Priority

Celebrate the victory! You’ll hand out finisher medals and post-race snacks as participants cross the line.

Race Day Crew High Priority

For the early birds and the heavy lifters. Help us transform the space before the race and pack the magic away once the last runner finishes and vendor leaves.

Be our "Visual Storyteller." You’ll roam the start/finish lines and key spots on the course to capture the action, the smiles, and the best tutus in motion. (Note: If you don't have your own camera, we'll provide one for you to use during the event.)
