Lead Cyclists High Priority

Details

Two cyclists are needed to lead the runners through the course. Must be strong/fast cyclists. Will be in front of the first runner the entire 3.1 miles.

Sweep Cyclist High Priority

Sweep cyclist will inform the volunteers when they can leave their designation, will call in any issues.

First Aid Medium Priority

First Aid volunteers will assist runners at the First Aid Station at the finish line.

National Anthem Singer Medium Priority

1 singer for the National Anthem. Will need to arrive at 7:00 a.m.

Montrose Center Volunteers High Priority

March 9, 2025

Details

The Montrose Center volunteers will direct and cheer on the runners/walkers during the first section of the 5K. They will also be in charge of the 1K turnaround. Lead for this section: Monica Ward

Location

Check in at the Montrose Center table by 7:00 a.m. Sunday, March 17th. Hennessy Park, 1900 Lyons Avenue (next to Saint Arnold Brewery)

Post Race Party High Priority

Hand out bagels, drinks, water, etc. to the runners/walkers. Clean up area as needed.

LEAD Race Course Directors High Priority

This volunteer task is full.

Details

4 Race Course Directors from UHD to the turn-around and back. These 4 Course Directors are uper important! This part of the course is from UHD- on the bike path- to the turnaround and then back. These volunteers need to meet Caryn twice before the race - to practice where to be and what to do.

Park at UHD and then walk to determined location on the course.

YMCA Volunteers High Priority

Details

YMCA Volunteers will help out Monica at section 1 of the race course. Volunteers will direct the runners/walkers. 2 volunteers are needed to direct the 1K walkers where to turn around!

Location

Park in one of the designated Saint Arnold parking lots and check in at the volunteer table at Hennessy Park. Then walk the first .25 miles of the course - and find Monica. She will direct you where to stand and direct traffic.

Details

UH volunteers will be assigned to direct the runners in section 2 and 3 of the running course.

Human Connection/Cheer Squad High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Volunteers assigned to The Human Connection (cheer squad) will be assigned to spots along the course. Each volunteer will receive a pom-pom and noise maker. Be ready to cheer on the runners/walkers!

UH College of Pharmacy High Priority

UH Pharmacy Students will be contacted regarding their volunteer placement.

Parking Monitors High Priority

Details

Very very important volunteer position directing traffic for parking.

Location

Park at Henessey Park. There are two parking lots for participants to use. After the lots are full, street parking is available.
