EARLY PACKET PICK UP
You have signed up for Early Packet Pickup. Please arrive at your assigned time. Packet Pick up will take place at the specific times and locations listed below.

VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITY
Early Packet Pickup for Pre-registered runners
1. Distribute the following to each runner:
a. Runner Bag filled with Goodies
b. Runner Instruction Document with directions to the race site
c. Race Course Map
d. Assigned bib number
e. Runner shirt
2. Have each participant sign next to their name on the Pre-registered Runner Spreadsheet as they collect their items
3. Highlight the Runner Information off of the Pre-registered Runner Spreadsheet
4. Please help them with any questions they may have.

Walk-in Registration
1. Walk-in Registration will take place on Race Day, Sunday, February 8 from 6:00 a.m.-6:45 a.m.
i. Race Day Registration Fee
1. Late registration (Day of): $50.00
2. Cash and Check only-Make check payable to SMMA

The SMMA Gear Up 10 Mile Run will start promptly at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Tanger Outlet Center, San Marcos. The course will close at 10:30 a.m.
Please be on at your location by 6:45 a.m.

RESPONSIBILITY
Course Monitors
1. Please be on at your location by 6:45 a.m.
2. Locations
a. Intersection of Centerpoint Road and Old Bastrop Hwy
i. Do not leave your location until the End Biker has passed you by for the second time.
ii. (This is an out and back course)
b. Intersection of Old Bastrop Hwy and Francis Harris Lane
i. Do not leave your location until the End Biker has passed you by for the second time.
ii. (This is an out and back course)
c. Mile Marker 5
i. Once End Biker has passes with the last runner you may go back to Tanger Outlet Center
3. Direct Runners.
4. Cheer Runners as they pass by.
5. Please pick up any trash that may have been left behind.

WATER STATIONS
Runners will start coming in at 6:00 a.m. Please have tables and volunteers ready from 6:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. The course will close at 10:30 a.m.

RESPONSIBILITY
Water Stations
1. Locations
a. Finish Line Station
i. Please set up table by 6:00 a.m. at the Tanger Outlet Parking Lot
1. Company is responsible for providing BOTTLED WATER and volunteers.
2. Space provided for your company’s promotions/sign on the water station table.
b. Race Course Station
i. Please set up table by 6:30 a.m. on the race course.
1. We will provide coolers, tables, cups, and water.
2. Company is responsible for volunteers and picking up cups.
3. Space provided for your company’s promotions/sign on the water station table.
4. Race Course Stations
a. Mile Marker (2/8)
b. Mile Marker (4/6)
2. Keep Tables stocked with cups of water for runners as they pass by.
3. Keep Water Station areas clear of any trash.
4. Keep Tables clean.
5. If more water is needed, please send a volunteer to Tanger for refill.
6. Cheer Runners as they pass by.

RESPONSIBILITY
Walk-in Runners
1. Walk-in Runners will have a completed the Late Registration Form and have paid the cashier.
2. Cashier will hand you the completed Payment Form.
3. Grab the correct Runner Shirt Size
4. Hand the Runner Shirt and the completed Payment Form to the Walk-in Packet Pickup Table Volunteer.
a. Walk-in Runner will be able to collect their shirt, bag, Runner’s instructions and Bib Number from the next station.
5. Please help answer any questions they may have.

CASHIER TABLE
Late Registration will be open from Sunday, February 8, 2015 6:00 a.m.-6:45 a.m. Please collect payment from Walk-in Runners.

RESPONSIBILITY
Walk-in Runners
1. Walk-in Runners will have a completed the Late Registration Form
a. Be sure they check and sign the Waiver and Release Form
b. Collect Payment
i. Late registration (Day of): $50.00
ii. Only cash and checks will be accepted.
iii. Make checks payable to: SMMA
c. Collect Completed Registration Form
i. These forms will be turned into Athlete Guild Staff so they can enter Runner Information
d. Hand (Top of the registration form) Payment Form to Shirt Volunteer
e. Hand (Bottom portion of the registration form) Participant Receipt to Walk-in Runner
2. Once payment is collected please direct Walk-in Runners to the Walk-in Packet Pickup Table.
a. Walk-in Runner will be able to collect their shirt, bag, Runner’s instructions and Bib Number
3. Please help answer any questions they may have.

Walk-in Registration will be open from Sunday, February 8, 2015 6:00 a.m.-6:45 a.m. Please collect payment from Walk-in Runners.

2. The Runner Shirt Volunteer will hand you a Runner Shirt and a completed Payment Form.
3. You are responsible to verify the correct shirt size has been collected.
4. Distribute the following to each runner:
a. Runner Bag filled with Goodies
b. Runner Instruction Document with directions to the race site
c. Race Course Map
d. Runner shirt
e. Assign bib number
i. Get the next bib number from the registration form
ii. Fill in Runner’s Name
iii. Give four safety pins to the runner
f. Write the Bib number on the back of the Payment Form and place in box.
5. Wish the Runner Luck
6. Continue with the next Runner
7. Please help answer any questions they may have.

The SMMA Gear Up 10 Mile Run will start promptly at 7:00 a.m.

Refreshment Table
1. Keep Refreshment Table clean
2. Set Table
a. Stocked up
i. Cups, Napkins, Stirrers, Sugar/Sweet & Low
b. Coffee and donuts
i. 6:00 a.m.-7 a.m.
c. Granola Bars and Cookies (once runner’s start coming in)
i. 8:30 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.
3. Refill coffee pots.
4. Welcome Volunteers, Runners and Family
