Help athletes and USAT officials as needed with bike placement and general questions before the race starts.
Once the race starts, you will monitor the fortress and make sure athletes stay out until all bikes return. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the heat.

Bike Course Support High Priority

There are several spots out on the bike course requiring attention.
You will either be helping cyclists identify if they need to head toward the finish line or their 2nd loop, at the first Uturn, or at the second Uturn .
This is the perfect opportunity to practice your top ten motivational phrases and blast your favorite workout playlist on that way cool portable speaker. Sunblock, a hat, comfy shoes and a large water bottle are all recommended. Bring a friend to share in the fun!

Run Course Support High Priority

Your job will be to let runners know there are arrows on the ground leading them along the right side of the sidewalk all the way to the FINISH LINE! This is the perfect spot to see and cheer for all your friends and teammates as they run by.

Want to help but not sure which task to volunteer for? Choose this to assist race crew where needed. Could be anything based on needs at the time. If you want to volunteer for an hour, two hours, or the whole time, just let us know and we can custom design your shift.
For volunteering, you get free admission into Lago Mar after the race is over!

Details

Fill cups with water and Gatorade to give to athletes on the run course. Don't Mess With Texas! Please sidewalk clear of cups. Plan to bring a portable speaker with your best race day playlist to give the athletes a pep in their step as they go by. Sun gear and comfy shoes are highly recommended.

Bike Mount/Dismount Line

You'll remind racers to get on their bikes AFTER the line and when they return, to get off the bike BEFORE the line.

Details

After setting up, you will help pass out medals and water to finishers. You'll be responsible for monitoring the water/ice situation and ensuring there is plenty for all racers!
