Volunteers will be taking equipment from the warehouse. They will organize and load it into trucks and trailers. Please bring gloves and water. This can be strenuous work.

Volunteers may be asked to do a variety of tasks, including: helping to set up the Expo area, handing out packets, bib numbers, shirts, and race swag to registered participants. Volunteers may also be asked to serve in the “Merch” area.

Aid Stations A @ 5K - Mile 2.1 &10K - 5.1/Monday (20 points per hour) High Priority

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

When you arrive at the Aid Station, locate the "sign in/sign out" sheet and write your start time next to your name. Before you leave, don't forget to add your end time.

Volunteers help prepare their assigned aid station following the instructions located in the aid station bin. They will assist runners throughout the race by providing water or Powerade. Volunteers are encouraged to motivate runners with enthusiasm. Following the race, aid station volunteers will clean up the aid station.

Each aid station will have a first aid kit available for use by runners. Volunteers will not provide medical treatment. If an emergency does occur, volunteers should immediately call course EMTs or 911.

Course Flaggers/Monday (50 points) High Priority

Details

Volunteers are responsible for making sure runners are kept safe and don’t have to stop for any traffic. They stop any vehicles that would impede a runner along the coned course by waving their flag. Course flaggers will keep the vehicle stopped until there is a gap in the runners large enough to let the vehicle move forward. They keep the course safe until the “cut off” pacer or course ATV passes their assigned station.
