Women's Epic at Brighton Volunteer Registration

Finish Line Volunteer (6+) High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

- Please checkin outside of the lodge with Sara at 7:30am
- Please feel free to bring a lawn chair.
- After the race begins, you will be stationed next to the start/finish line where you will cheer runners on as they come down the lift and cross the finish line!
- Please make sure "day hikers" don't cross under the Women's Epic arch. Please be friendly and kind to the hikers and ask them to go around the arch.
- Hand each participant a necklace as they cross the finish line! Only participant's with bibs can have a necklace. No more than one necklace per participant.
- Please take as many breaks as you need, but be sure to have at least two volunteers at the the finish line at all times
- Please call Sara if you need anything
- Call the safety coordinator (801-425-0339) with any safety/medical concerns and alert the nearest EMT. Call 911 in a major medical emergency.

Check-in at the Women's Epic Tent in the Brighton Resort Parking Lot to the left of the Alpine Lodge. 8302 S Brighton Loop Rd, Brighton, UT 84121.

Details

- Please arrive at 7:00am
- You will be stationed at a key intersection near Dog Lake. Be prepared to hike one mile to your spot.
- Please bring adequate water and snacks.
- Please bring lawn chair and plenty of warm layers (it will be cold in the morning.
- You will be paired with one other course marshal.
- Please ensure runners do not get lost at your key intersection, and make sure no one needs assistance.
- Cheer runners on! We will provide you with cowbells!
- If a participant needs medical attention, please call 911 in major emergency and contact the Safety Coordinator, who will then inform the nearest EMT of your location.
- Please ensure half marathon runners (black bibs) follow the pink flags and OG runners (yellow bibs) follow the yellow flags
- Plan on staying at your station until 12pm then hiking down the same way you came up.
- Bring bug spray

- Please bring adequate water and snacks.
- Please bring lawn chair and plenty of warm layers (it will be cold in the morning.)
- You will be paired with one other course marshal.
- Please ensure runners do not get lost at your key intersection, and make sure no one needs assistance.
- Each runner will run past you twice (1 time on their way up to Lake Catherine and 1 time on their way down to Dog Lake)
- Cheer runners on! We will provide you with cowbells!
- If a participant needs medical attention, please call 911 in major emergency and contact the Safety Coordinator, who will then inform the nearest EMT of your location.
- Plan on staying at your station until 12pm then hiking down the same way you came up.
