RACE TIME HELP

Malans Peak Aid Station High Priority

February 28, 2025

March 1, 2025

Details

Check in with Tara at the 29th street TH. Feel free to hike up from there or drive over to start at 27th street TH. This involves a 6 mile (round-trip) hike up to the top of Malans peak with gear. It is strenuous simply getting up to the aid station. Once on top, it will likely be extremely cold, especially at night. We will have a large expedition tent, but volunteers will be expected to come prepared and ready to take care of themselves for at least 6 hrs. Volunteers will be expected to have clothing similar to what they would bring on a mountaineering expedition (warm boots, insulative pants, warm coat with full hood, gloves, etc.) Each volunteer will need a pack to support 2 gallons of water in addition to any other supplies they might need (your own personal water and food). Please review the timing video BEFORE your shift and be familiar with what is required of you.
