Race Day

Details

Volunteers will be asked to do various tasks, including: directing participants and getting them loaded onto buses efficiently. Please check bibs to make sure the runners are registered.

After bus loading is done, clean up the bus loading area. Take station items over to the blue trailer in preparation for loading the trailer.

Volunteers will then head to the finish line area to assist with last minute finish line set up including: putting up tents, unwrapping finisher medals, and placing medals on the designated table. Some volunteers may also be asked to help at the bag pick up area, and food prep, etc.

Volunteers are encouraged to motivate runners with enthusiasm. Following the race, aid station volunteers will clean up the aid station.

Course Flaggers/Saturday (100 pts) High Priority

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Volunteers are responsible for making sure runners are kept safe and don’t have to stop for any traffic. They stop any vehicles that would impede a runner along the coned course by waving their flag. Course flaggers will keep the vehicle stopped until there is a gap in the runners large enough to let the vehicle move forward. They keep the course safe until the “cut off” pacer or course ATV passes their assigned station.
