Details

Assign race bibs to participants, distribute race shirts, fill race mugs with sponsor items, other duties as assigned. Clean and sanitize common surfaces in 15 minute intervals.

Covid protocol (as needed)
Volunteers must wear face covering their whole shift and follow covid safe behaviors laid out in signage at the event.
Volunteers will have a mask, gloves, face shield and sanitizing options available.
Volunteers must stay home if they have any symptoms or any reason to suspect they may be positive for covid.
Volunteers should cancel their volunteer slot and notify the race director as soon as possible if they will not be able to attend.

Start Finish Area Set Up Medium Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Start Finish Crew will set up and operate a fun, comfortable start/finish area.
Set up tents, arch, and equipment as instructed.
Direct guests to the start line.
Assist at the start line,
Hand out medals at the finish line.
Monitor cleanliness, signage, waste, and recycling in a particular area.
Assist monitor in parking
Attend to gear check
Attend to restroom lines

Course Monitor High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

This person will be at a designated spot on the course to direct runners.
Dressed for the weather.
Stop runners if UTA S-Line train is coming.
Direct runners on the proper way to go at key intersections.
Communicate first and last runners with race director.
Communicate any incidents on the course.

Aid Station Crew High Priority

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Aid Station crew will use pitchers to fill runners' personal cups with water or electrolytes as requested.
Aid station crew will be required to sanitize before their shift and wear gloves and masks for the entire shift. A face shield will also be available for use.

Site monitor - COVID-19 best practices Medium Priority

This volunteer task is full.

Details

This person will help maintain a clean, safe environment.
review covid plan with race director ahead of time.
monitor start/finish area operations and promote low-risk Covid practices at the event.
Direct runners as needed.
Sanitize a list of common surfaces in 15 minute intervals.
Monitor covid related signage at the event.
Remind folks to mask up in the start finish area.
Remedy situations or escalate issues to race director.
Other duties as assigned.
