Stationed along 5K course at corners. Direct runners and walkers, keeping them on course using voice and hand signals. Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for up to 2 hours.

Photographer Medium Priority

Takes high quality pictures of the race/event throughout the duration, including starting line, festival area, awards ceremony, participants on the course, finish line. Your area will be assigned to you upon arrival. All pictures are property of True North Endurance and Events and cannot be used without express written permission. Photography equipment not provided.

Videographer High Priority

Take video footage of the race/event throughout the duration, including setup, starting line, festival area, awards ceremony, participants on the course, finish line, tear down. Check-In/Packet Pickup High Priority

Hand out the previously prepared packet that belongs to that participant. Check off name to show that packet has been picked up. Assist with check in questions and issues.

Help set up the festival area. Duties include setting up signs, tables, and tents, and helping navigate early participants to the packet-pickup area. Standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs are all required.

Emcee High Priority

Details

Previous emcee experience desirable, but not required. The emcee keeps the energy of the crowd up before and after the race. You need to be energetic, comfortable talking to a crowd through a microphone, and have a voice that projects. Also, no profanity and you must keep comments family-friendly. Being witty and engaging, and knowing about audio equipment is a definite plus!
