The expo has a s'mores station where participants may come roast a marshmallow, and build their own s'more. You will be handing out graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, and roasting sticks to those coming to your booth. You are also in charge of keeping your station safe, clean, and tidy. You must be 16 years old and comfortable around a fire pit. You will be outside and on your feet for your entire shift.

Merch Pack Down & Staging High Priority

This volunteer task is full.

Details

In this role, you will be a critical hand in helping the Merch and Expo team by assisting with wrapping up the merchandise booth at the end of the expo. We will pack-up the trucks and then make our way to the finish line area where we will unload the merchandise from the truck and get it staged for race morning.

Volunteers should be able to transport themselves from the Expo site to the Finish Line area on Friday evening in order to complete the requirements of this role.

You will help at the finish line. Jobs may include setting up tables for the post race food boxes or unboxing or handing out finisher medals. You will be lifting heavy boxes and will be on your feet for your entire shift.

Gear Check (Finish Line)

Details

You will be organizing the gear bags by bib numbers. There are signs with bib numbers in groups of 150. Keep this area as neat as possible. Runners will tell you their bib numbers and you will locate their gear check bag. Items that were dropped at the first aid station will be placed into a pile that runners can go through to retrieve any loose clothing. Gear check bags will be brought to the finish line about 30-45 minutes after the start of the race. Any clothing left over will be donated to a local charity.

You will instruct runners to write their name and bib number on the plastic bags we provide for their clothing to drop before the race start or at Mile 3. All bags will be organized at the finish line where the runners can pick them up after the race.
