Stop by for 1 or 2 hours, or stay all day!! Packet Prep involves systematically adding each individual runner/walker's t-shirt and bib to the pre-made goody bags, labeling the packet with the individual's name, and sorting packets by team.

Race Day Volunteer Opportunities

Registration Tent

Details

Reserved for Volunteers from Danville After Hours Rotary. Registration requires customer service, attention to detail, and organization skills. Volunteers will manage day of registration which requires assisting with registration form completion, taking money (and giving change), and assigning the appropriate bib for participants in either the 5K Run or 5K walk.

Parking Attendants

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 16 more volunteers needed.

Details

Reserved for Volunteers from the Danville Running & Fitness Club and Danville After Hours Rotary. Parking requires logical thinking and good communication skills. Volunteers will be stationed at various parking lots and will be responsible for communicating to other parking attendants.

Course Monitors

Details

Volunteers will post yard signs along the course, cheer on runners and walkers, and ensure competitors do not cheat by turning around early or running when they should only be walking.

Puzzle Board Greeter

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Volunteers will be responsible for greeting participants as they enter the park. Encourage participants to color a puzzle piece in honor of someone they love or care for with autism. Direct participants to the Day of Registration and Day of Packet Pick Up tent.
