Gate Watchers- Spence US

Spence US Gate- Gate Watchers are responsible for keeping the large cattle gates, located at the edge of each pasture section of the trail, open for runners while keeping livestock within the pastures. Gate Watchers are also a key point of communication is somewhat isolated areas of the race course- cheer on the runners and let the Gate Coordinator know of any issues. This gate is about a 1/2 mile walk from the parking location. The Spence Upstream gate can be rather shady so please dress accordingly. This is the first gate that runners will encounter so it is important that it is open by 8am.

This gate is located just downhill from the parking location on Stuartsburg Road.

This gate is located at the bottom of Old Sheppard Road just downhill from Stuartsburg Road. There is a portable toilet adjacent to the gate.

This gate is located at the far side of the cattle pasture on your left as you come down Old Sheppard Road- it is a 1/2 mile walk to the gate from the parking area.
