Course Marshall

Saturday, April 25, 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Provide on-site race cheering! Sign the volunteer check-in sheet and see the Course Marshal Coordinator.

Duties include directing runners and keeping them safe along the route are the key responsibilities. A proper understanding of the course and being able to stop pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic while runners cross. Being confident and being loud (if necessary) are pluses.

You also are a key player in keeping the excitement and momentum going on course. Feel free to act crazy, scream, cheer, laugh — anything to bring out a smile on our runners faces!

MUST WEAR A SAFETY VEST (provided by Race Director at check-in)! Standing for long periods of time is required.

This assignment is outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day & bring your own hydration, snacks and sun screen.

Position assignments will be delegated morning of the race. Volunteers are to arrive no later than 7:00am - race starts at 8:00am.

Start / Finish Volunteers

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

Saturday, April 25, 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Sign the volunteer check-in sheet and meet the start/finish line staff. Responsible for helping with the start/finish line setup and take down.

Work at the direction of the race director and timer. Assist with timing (manual and/or digital) and set-up/break-down of finish line equipment. Some lifting is required.

You also have a key role in cheering on our runners as they finish their race!

Race Day Packet Pickup

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Arrive early Race Day to assist runners with their packet pickup. This may include handing out race bibs, shirts, and other stuff to runners as they prepare for the race that starts at 8am. Volunteers would need to arrive no later than 7am for the race.

Course Marshall Coordinator

Work at the direction of the race director to coordinate placement of all course marshals for the race. Duties include ensuring that key course locations are covered and that course marshals know their responsibilities.

General Volunteer

Assignments will be given before race day.

Assignments may include Course Marshal, Water Stop, Finish Line, Registration, or general set-up or breakdown.

All assignments are outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day. This position is not appropriate for a volunteer with small children or pets, who need supervision.

You may receive an email a few days in advance of the event with additional assignment details.

Water Stop Coordinator

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

Responsible for assisting with check-in of water stop volunteers, for guiding and directing water stop volunteers with setting up and filling cups, distributing water to runners while cheering them on, picking up discarded cups and cleaning up area after all participants have passed.

Pre-Race Packet Pickup FRIDAY
