Sunday, October 20: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Work at the direction of the race director to coordinate all volunteer activities for the race. Duties include ensuring that key volunteer positions are filled in advance of the race and on race day and that volunteers have the guidance and resources they need to fulfill their duties.

This assignment is outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day.

Course Marshal

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Sunday, October 20: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Directing runners and keeping them safe along the route are the key responsibilities. Duties include a proper understanding of the course and helping keep runners and vehicles out of each others way. Being confident and being loud (if necessary) are pluses.

You also are a key player in keeping the excitement and momentum going on course. Feel free to act crazy, scream, cheer, laugh — anything to bring out a smile on our runners faces!

MUST WEAR A SAFETY VEST (provided at check-in)! Standing for long periods of time is required.

This assignment is outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day. Bring your own hydration, snacks and sun screen.

Post-Race Refreshments

You must be 10 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Sunday, October 20: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Duties include setting up/breaking down the post-race food station, cutting bananas and bagels, distributing food to event participants upon completion of the race, and making sure that spectators are not partaking in the post race food.

Water Stop

You must be 10 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 8 more volunteers needed.

Details

Sunday, October 20: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Responsible for setting up and filling cups, distributing water to runners while cheering them on, picking up discarded cups and cleaning up area after all participants have passed.

You also are a key player in cheering on and putting a smile on our runners faces!

Standing for long periods of time is required.

This assignment is outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day.

Children who cannot be left unattended are discouraged for the position.

Pre-Race Packet Pick-up/Registration

You must be 12 or older to volunteer for this task.

Saturday, October 19, 1 - 6pm

Provide services for walk-up registration, bib number assignment/distribution, and T-shirt pick-up. Positive attitude is a MUST.

Your attendance is required for the duration of this task. Small children and animals requiring adult supervision are not permitted for this task.

General Volunteer

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Sunday, October 20: General volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 9:00 AM.

Assignments may include Course Marshal, Water Station, Finish Line, Registration, or general set-up or breakdown.

All assignments are outdoors. You need to be prepared for the weather on race day. This position is not appropriate for a volunteer with small children or pets, who need supervision.

Once you are able to check in at registration, you’ll be directed to a specific assignment that needs your attention.

You may receive an email a few days in advance of the event with additional assignment details.
