12 Volunteers Needed. Physical/muscle job starting at 3:30pm at CSAC offices (109 Catamount Park, Middlebury): lift bocce courts & equipment (up to 50 pounds) and load trucks at CSAC's offices. Once materials are loaded, volunteers follow (in your own vehicle) the truck and trailer to Middlebury Rec Field (off of Mary Hogan Drive, Middlebury), unload Bocce court pieces and set them up as courts on the field. Total time approximately 2-2.5 hours.

Friday, September 12th 3:30pm-6pmpm CSAC offices (109 Catamount Park, Middlebury) and/to Rec Field (off of Mary Hogan Drive, Middebury).

12 Volunteers needed. Early morning risers and muscle needed! Meet at Middlebury Rec Field (off of Mary Hogan Drive, Middlebury). Unload Bocce equipment, signs, tables, tents, chairs, coolers & materials from box truck and help set up. Must be able to lift (approximately 20-50 pounds).

6 Volunteers needed. Set up volunteer check in area with volunteer bags/check in sheets. Once volunteer check in area is set up, some will be assigned to check in other volunteers at the volunteer check in area. Others will act as concierge/greeters (involves standing/sitting at 1 of several designated locations and directing players from parking and gathering areas to player check in and meet up areas).

Details

Several shifts:
Food set up from 6am-9:30am.
Set up breakfast items/coffee/materials/coolers/arrange for display. Replenish and keep items looking filed/fresh as needed as players arrive and eat. Greet players at food table. Move any remaining breakfast items to central location at appointed time. Skills needed: Light to heavy lifting; ability to follow verbal instructions.

Food set up and replenish 9:30am-11:30am
Set up tournament food and staff 1 of 2 -3 assigned food tables. Move any remaining breakfast items to food tables in central locations. Stock and replenish food at assigned table throughout tournament. Arrange/set out ice cream at designated location at appointed time.

Food clean up: approximately 11:30am-12:30pm
Pack up any remaining food items, clean off food tables, bring to central/designated location at Rec field.

REFEREES (short training provided in advance).20 Volunteers needed. Referees check in by 8:30am on tournament day for a briefing and to get court assignments. Once assigned to a court, referees stay at that court and referee 4 games that are approximately 20 minutes each. Ability to stand/sit/walk/bend/measure/record score on score sheet/have a good attitude/answer questions/make calls based on tournament rules. Some referees will act as substitutes.

16 Volunteers needed. Run score cards at the end of each game from your assigned court area to the Scoreboard/Lead Score Volunteer. Can be sitting/standing/cheering during games.

8 people needed. This position requires a positive attitude and willingness/ability to shift and understanding of CSAC's Bocce Tournament rules. Volunteer players/teams/cheerers/back up Referees may be asked to fill in if a team is short a player/can't play. May need to fill in as Referee. If no fill ins needed, then walk around cheering for teams!

12 people needed. Physical/muscle job involving lifting up to 50 pounds. Event cleanup & loading equipment back onto trucks at Rec Field (off of Mary Hogan Drive, Middlebury). Follow trucks in your own vehicle back to CSAC offices (109 Catamount Park, Middlebury). Help unload truck and trailer.

Saturday 9/13 12 noon - 4 pm Rec Field (off of Mary Hogan Drive, Middlebury) and then to CSAC offices (109 Catamount Park, Middlebury). Best if you haven't already been volunteering/playing all morning. We need fresh energy!
