Pre-Run and Sweep

Details

Experience in trail running and familiarity in course-marking preferred. Volunteers will run the course prior to the race start to check that course markings are still in good condition. Pre-Runners will also check for any hazards on the course.
-Bring a headlamp as pre-runners will start in the dark.

Details

Volunteer will run the course, or a portion of the course, to make sure that all runners have made it back safely, assisting runners who can't make the time cutoffs, and remove course markings.

Details

Volunteer will help participants and spectators park and if need be, assist with road crossings to get to the start finish area. Some parking attendants will stand at areas closed to parking to make sure they stay clear of cars.

Plan to bring a small camp chair, snacks, and water to stay comfortable. Cheering enthusiasm encouraged.

You will need to walk or hike about 1.5 miles to reach the position from the parking area at the south end of the Deception Pass bridge. Plan to bring a small camp chair, snacks, and water to stay comfortable.

Help us reach zero waste! Volunteer will monitor the compost/recycling area to make sure everything goes in the correct bin.
