Hand out participant packets and answer questions about course, aid stations, awards and fundraising (we provide a FAQ sheet). Encourage participants. 2 shifts - 5 am - 10 am and 10 am - 3 pm

Start/Finish Aid Station High Priority

Details

Provide service at aid station including filling bottles, making warm drinks and soup, stocking nutritional items and of course giving encouragement to the participants.

Summit Aid Station High Priority

Details

Hike to West Tiger 1, Hiker's Hut. Provide guidance, some water available for participants and plenty of encouragement. Will need to have proper gear to stay warm and dry during extreme conditions. We will have a heater for the Hiker's Hut. If the Tiger Mtn Service road is passable, we will have vehicle access for volunteers to drive within 1/4 mile of the Hikers' Hut. Check in participants on tablet each lap. 2 shifts available 5 am - 12:30 am and 10:30 am - 5:30 pm

Start Finish line setup Friday High Priority

Help set up tents at start finish line area.

Start Finish Line Pack Up High Priority

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Once the last runners come through, we will pack up gear, pull down tents and load up into vehicle. Start time 6 pm and will last about 2-3 hours depending on how many volunteers we have.

Start Finish Line Timers High Priority

Details

Volunteer will use a tablet that has uses a touch pad timing system. When each participant comes through the start/finish line area you just press their number and it records their time. Pretty simple process. We will also use the old hand written time method of finding number on sheet and writing in time to corresponding participants bib number.

Course Sweeper High Priority

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Follow up last runner at 4 pm to the Hiker's Hut on West Tiger 1 and return while picking up course markings and rope hand line.
