As a START LINE DIRECTOR you will be directing the runners at the beginning of the event to enter the civic circle. Preventing the runners from cutting the course and going in front of the Monticello Hotel. One volunteer will hold caution tape at the end of Happy Kids building and the other volunteer will hold the other end at the triangle section on Olympia Way.

Lake Sacajawea next to Kessler Blvd. directing strollers to the right on the grass rather than on the stairs.

Safety Monitor at Lake Sacajewea Foot Bridge

Details

Cheering Runners On to go over the metal foot bridge at Lake Sacajawea. We do not want runners going the entire lake. This happened one year a runner missed a sign. They will go over the foot bridge and let them know to head back to Happy Kids on Larch after they cross.

VOLUNTEERS AT CHECK IN

Volunteers at Check In. We will have Ipads for you to check in participants. When you check them in it will give you their shirt size they registered for. You will have a stack of bibs. You will write the size of their shirt on the back of the bib. (Example Child Small or Adult Large). The bib number will be entered into the the ipad and then everyone will be checked in. Volunteers Hand Out Shirts

At least 7 more volunteers needed.

Details

We will have two tables. One adult table and one child table. Please set your table up and organize the shirts by size. A participant will then bring their bib to you to show what size they need (kind of like their ticket) Once you have given them their size, cross the size off on the back of their bib and hand it back. People cannot change their sizes because we ordered exactly what they registered for. No late registrants can get shirts before the race. They will be handed out at the completion of the race.
