Shuttle Bus Attendant High Priority

Details

Description: Assist participants to load shuttles in an orderly fashion, ensure each participant has a race bib before boarding, assist in loading strollers, monitor during transport.

Skills: Loud, clear voice, outgoing personality, organized. Some lifting may be required. Able to walk and stand for a 2+ hour shift. *Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear as you may be standing outside for much of your shift.

PLEASE NOTE! - Day of volunteers must attend a short orientation prior to the event. Orientation is June 4th from 6-7 PM at the Recreation Office, 2920 Douglas St. in Longview, during packet pick-up.

Gear Check Medium Priority

Details

Assist participants to check their bags & other items that they won’t be taking with them onto the course. Label items with participant’s bib number and organize them numerically for easy retrieval after the race. Volunteers will set up Gear Check tent at the starting area, check gear, then load all items and transport them to the Gear Check tent at the finishing area.

Skills: Some lifting required. Able to walk and stand for a 4+ hour shift. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have an outgoing personality. *Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear as you may be standing outside for much of your shift.

Description: Stationed at cross streets along the race route to direct participants using voice/hand signals and set a positive and exciting mood!

Description: Set up and staff a water station located along the race route. Duties include filling water cups, handing cups to runners, and picking up trash.

Skills: Able to walk and stand for a 2 hour shift. Someone may need to lift 40 lb. water jugs depending on how your station receives water.
