Swim Support

Water Assist with Kayak, paddle board or canoe High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position will be in the water with their watercraft, they will be available to assist swimmers if they need to rest, or need assistance. This position will not help the race participant make forward gains in the water, but will be available for the race participant to rest if needed.
Also, if a race participant gets off course, this position will aid the swimmer back on course.

Location

In the water at the Noisy Creek Boat Launch on Sullivan Lake.

Life Guard High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

To provide life saving skills in the event of an emergency during the swim leg of the triathlon, to be available for all waves and especially during the Youth event.

Event Emcee

Triathlon Emcee High Priority

You must be 20-70 years old to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Emcee prior to the start of Sullivan Lake Triathlon, during and announce the triathletes names as the cross the finish line.

Timers

Transition Timer High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position will be in the transition area and will log times as race participants enter the transition area and when they leave the transition area. There will be three times race participants will be entering and leaving the transition area.

Location

Timing will take place in the transition area.

Course Support

Bike Turn-around High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position will be at the Bike Turn-around and will record the time as each race participants comes through the turn-around area.

Location

Bike Turn-around will be on Sullivan Lake Road at the Mill Pond Campground.

Run Turn-Around High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position will be at the Run Turn-around and will record the time of each race participant as the come through the turn-around.

Location

The Run Turn-around will be at the Harvey Creek Bridge on Sullivan Lake Road.

Water Station High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position will hand out water to race participants at a second water station on the run course of the triathlon.

Location

Along Sullivan Lake road. Location will be described at the volunteer meeting on Thursday before the triathlon.

Crossing Guard Aid High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

This position will aid race participants by stopping traffic (if needed) as the race participants cross Sullivan Lake Road at the Noisy Creek Campground entrance when finishing the bike portion.

Location

Sullivan Lake Road at the Noisy Creek Campground entrance.

Bike Route Sweeper High Priority

You must be 20-60 years old to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Volunteer to ride the bike route to make sure all are safe during the bike portion of the triathlon, especially during the Youth Super Sprint.

Location

On Sullivan Lake Road bike route

Event Support

Parking Attendant High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

The parking attendant will aid race participants in parking their cars in the event parking area.

Location

Location of parking will be given to the timer at the volunteer meeting on Thursday before the Triathlon.

Transition and Race Course Set up High Priority

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Helping with setting up transition and race course on the Friday before the triathlon.

Event Photographer

Event Photographer High Priority

Minimum met, 2 volunteer spots remaining.

Details

Volunteer photographer to capture moments during the triathlon, capture triathletes as they participate during the triathlon and cross the finish line. Pictures will be used on the triathlon sign-up page and Facebook page.
