Details

Must be an experienced trail runner, familiarity in course-marking preferred. Volunteers will run the course before it is open to participants to check that course markings are still up where they need to be and that nothing on the course has been vandalized. Pre-Runners will also check for any hazards on the course and report all findings back to the race director.
- Volunteers need to come with a headlamp as the pre-course run will start in the dark.
-Your section of prerunning will start at the race start/finish at Mission Ridge Ski Area, and end at Mission Creek Aid Station, where the 25-50mi prerunners will prerun the second half of the course.

Details

Volunteers will be positioned at the Red Devil and Mission Creek Trail junction, right by the Mission Creek Aid Station. 50/100-mile runners will come through this intersection twice per loop. The first time through, runners will go to the aid station and then take a right onto the Red Devil Trail. The second time through this intersection, runners will go straight through this intersection and begin the climb up the Mission Creek Trail. The course monitor's job is to ensure that runners go in the correct direction.

Details

This volunteer will help race staff to haul water to a remote water drop on Tronson Ridge. Plan for about a 2-mile hike with a large backpack that has the capacity to carry 2-3 gallons of water.

Driving to begin the hike from Mission Ridge Ski Area is about 1.5hrs and requires 4wd. Access is via the Hwy 97 near Blewett Pass.

Mt. Lillian Aid Station Captain

Experience in ultra-running events preferred. This individual will be in charge of a remote aid station near the Mt. Lillian trailhead, accessed from Blewett Pass on HWY 97.
The Aid Station Captain will lead all volunteers for the Mt. Lillian Aid station and make sure that the aid station runs smoothly, be in charge of communicating any issues to the race director and help coordinate transportation for runners who have dropped.

All other normal aid station tasks are also a part of this position: Helping out with nutrition and hydration at the aid station and checking off runners as they come through to keep track of the ultra-distance runners on the course.

The Aid Station Captain will lead all volunteers for the Devil's Spur Aid station and make sure that the aid station runs smoothly, be in charge of communicating any issues to the race director and help coordinate transportation for runners who have dropped.

All other normal aid station tasks are also a part of this position: Helping out with nutrition and hydration at the aid station and checking off runners as they come through to keep track of the ultra-distance runners on the course.
