You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details - Keep the participants safe from traffic and cheer them on. Many locations will require traffic control - only allow traffic to cross when it is safe for the participants. Support the participants with encouraging words and point them in the proper direction/correct turn. There are lots of turns on the course and we don't want runners to miss a segment of the race or get lost.
Specific locations can be requested and are subject to availability. Times vary depending on location. Starting Time 7:45 AM - 9:10 AM. Finishing Time 9:30 AM -11:30 AM. Timeframes noted are when runners are expected, we will need volunteers to be there in advance.

Prep the Water Stations, Hand out Water or Gatorade and give lots of cheers...Make it Fun! Timeframes noted are when runners are expected, we will need volunteers to be there in advance to prepare the station and start filling cups.

Finish Line Medium Priority

At least 7 more volunteers needed.

Details

Assist timers with set up and take down. Hand out place finisher medals and water as racers cross. We will need volunteers from the get-go and through the end of the race. Plan on 7:45 to 11:30.

Finish line announcer Medium Priority

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Give racers a chance to hear their name as they cross the finish line. Ideally, this is a group of 3 people. One person will radio in race numbers. The second person finds the name on a list. The third will announce the name as they cross. We will need volunteers from the get-go and through the end of the race. Plan on 7:45 to 11:30.

Packet Pick up (Saturday) & Race Day Registration (Sunday) High Priority

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Assist with packet pick up and race day sign ups.
