You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details - Keep the participants safe from traffic and cheer them on. Many locations will require traffic control - only allow traffic to cross when it is safe for the participants. Support the participants with encouraging words and point them in the proper direction/correct turn. There are lots of turns on the course and we don't want runners to miss a segment of the race or get lost.
Specific locations can be requested and are subject to availability. Times vary depending on location. Starting Time 7:15 AM - 8:35 AM. Finishing Time 9:00 AM -11:15 AM. Timeframes noted are when runners are expected, we will need volunteers to be there in advance.

Details

Assist timers with set up and take down. Hand out place finisher medals and water as racers cross. We will need volunteers from the get-go and through the end of the race. Plan on 7:15 to 11:15.

Photographers Medium Priority

Details
Memorialize the event for the racers. Take some pictures before the race, the race start, then each racer as they finish. No special equipment is required, photos will just be shared on the GLA13dot1 Facebook page for racers to enjoy.

Details
Head out on the course and take some candid photos of racers and volunteers.

Plan on 7:15 to 11:30.

Lead & SAG Bikers High Priority

You must be 18-99 years old to volunteer for this task.

LEAD or FOLLOW (SAG) one of the three races along their race route.

The lead biker for each race will set a steady pace for the lead runner to follow. They should be familiar with the route to provide essential guidance to the participants ensuring a smooth and successful event from start to finish.

The SAG (Support & Gear) biker for each race is the unsung hero of the race, providing essential support and assistance to runners along the way. Equipped with supplies and a compassionate spirit, they patrol the route ready to lend a helping hand to any participant in need. They ensure that every participant has the opportunity to reach the finish line safely and with a sense of accomplishment.
