Monitor the exit to our Finish Chute to ensure no runners or spectators use the exit for an entrance. Direct any runners that need to come back through to the Information Booth who can escort them to the proper area for medical or additional food, etc.

Prepare and organize runner refreshments. Tasks may includes lifting and moving boxes of fruit and snacks, rearranging tables, setting up and handing out water and Gatorade to runners, prefilling and handing out runners food bags, refilling stock, helping to clean up and break down boxes.

Details

Drive the rental van through the marathon course, where volunteers in your van will be placing cones used to direct the runners at turns and course changes.
In addition to the Sunday morning shift, you need to be be available on Saturday, October 6th to (1) pick up a van at the rental store (at a yet to-be-defined time), (2) assist in loading cones into the two vans, and (3) staging the filled van at the rental store for Sunday's effort. After completing the placement of cones along the assigned portion of the marathon course on Sunday morning, you will need to promptly return the van to the rental store .
