Water Stop

Details

Work the water and Gatorade stop on the track. All runners are required to bring their own bottles and no cups are allowed at the track. Setting up requires filling the water and Gatorade jugs before the race, helping runners to mark their bottles with their bib number, and refilling bottles during the race as requested by the runners. After the race you'll need to clean up the area and bring the water and Gatorade jugs upstairs. For most of the shift you will be along the track and it is kept around 50F, so dress in layers to stay warm. After you shift please join in the Hall of Fame room for snacks and beverages.

Set Up and Registration

Details

Set up the Pettit for the Races, both on the track and in the Hall of Fame Room. Check in preregistered and race day runners. Help set up for the post race party. And stick around and enjoy the party yourself!

Party Host and Clean up

Details

Finalize the setup for the after party. During the Post Race Party help serve the beer, monitor the snacks for reloading supplies, etc. As the party dwindles help load the van with the toys collected and Strider supplies.

Track Sentries

Details

Monitor the back side of the track throughout the races. Cheer on the racers.  Assist any runners that fall down or have medical issues by notifying our DJ so he can initiate the proper assistance needed.

Photographer

Details

Take pictures and videos - cell phone camera is fine - of the race starts, finishes, kids run, post race party, and volunteers. Be able either immediately post the Strider FB and Instagram social media or share them with the Race Director.
