Details

Two aid stations will be set up along the course offering water and first aid to athletes as needed. Medical professionals (physicians, nurses or EMTs) would be ideal in these areas.

Location

One station pool deck and one in Hoyt Park

Details

The biking takes place along Menomonee River Parkway between Swan Boulevard and Church Street. Traffic will be blocked from entering the Parkway at all cross streets along the route. Volunteers will guard the barricades, enforce the safety rules, and encourage riders along the course.

Details

The run starts near the entrance to the pool and ends at The Landing, with the route taking athletes over the bridge on Swan Blvd. and down the path along the Parkway. Volunteers in this area will provide guidance, keep the public clear of runners and cheer on athletes.

Staging

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Staging will take place on the grassy area within the gates of the pool. Volunteers in this area will help corral the athletes and go over route directions and safety reminders. Volunteers in this area should be confident, dynamic and loud.

Packet Pick-Up

Details

Sign-in athletes and distribute race materials before the race.

Information Booth

Details

Volunteers in this area will be familiar with the TOSA Youth Tri and be able to answer general questions, give directions and hand out ankle timers to the athletes at the pool entrance.

Finish Line

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Located at the finish line near The Landing, next to TOSA Pool, volunteers in this area will keep the course clear for the runners, collect timing chips, announce athletes' names as they cross the finish line and hand out medals during the awards ceremony.

Photographer

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Professional or amateur photographers will use their own equipment to capture special moments of our athletes on the course and at the finish line. Pictures will be uploaded after the event to share with athletes' families.

Throughout Hoyt Park and TOSA Pool

Transition

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers in this area will help direct athletes through the transition area on the south side of the pool under the blue canopies. Emboldened volunteers in transition will be stationed along the bridge to help keep it clear for our athletes.

Race Official - Bike

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Race Officials will be familiar with the USAT rules. They will oversee the bike leg of the event to be sure athletes are exhibiting safe and sportsman-like behavior. Having a bike on-site is required. Must be able to bike the route periodically for the duration of the event.

Menomonee River Parkway between Swan Boulevard and Church Street.

Race Official - Swim

Details

Race Officials will be familiar with the USAT rules. They will oversee the swim leg of the event to be sure athletes are exhibiting safe and sportsman-like behavior.

Course Official - Run

Race Officials will be familiar with the USAT rules. They will oversee the run leg of the event to be sure athletes are exhibiting safe and sportsman-like behavior.
