Provide course directions to all participants along the 5k or 1/2 Marathon Course. This is an outdoor position, please dress accordingly for all types of weather.


Location

Can check in prior to the event with Jeff Miller in room 135 in the Williams Center. If you are unable to do this please arrange with Jeff Miller millerjr@uww.edu an alternative time.

All Course Marshal Volunteers will need to provide their own transportation to their assigned location on the course. You will find out your location when you pick up your t-shirt and vest from Jeff. All marshal’s will need to be at their assigned location by 7:45am and remain there until the trail vehicle passes indicating the last runner has passed. You will be free to leave at that time. All vests will be returned to Jeff Miller.

5k Back of the Pack WALKERS

You must be 10 or older to volunteer for this task.

This volunteer task is full.

Details

This position is responsible for walking behind the last participants of the 5k and in front of the SAG Wagon that sweeps the end of the event. You will need to be able to complete the entire 5k distance by walking, wear a volunteer shirt and if you choose to finish the event by walking across the finish line you will receive a 5k finisher medal.

Half Marathon Back of the Pack WALKERS

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

This position is responsible for walking behind the last participants of the Half Marathon and in front of the SAG Wagon that sweeps the end of the event. You will need to be able to complete the ENTIRE Half Marathon distance by walking, wear a volunteer shirt and if you choose to finish the event by walking across the finish line you will receive a Half Marathon finisher medal.
