Friday Night Packet Pickup Volunteers will help check runners in for early packet pickup by distributing race bibs and t-shirts, answering questions, and registering participants for race day. This is a great opportunity to help things run smoothly before the big day and welcome runners to the DHFS5K weekend!

Friday Evening Setup Volunteers will help us prepare for race day by assisting with setting up race signage, painting stars along the course, organizing supplies, and completing as much setup work as possible ahead of Saturday morning. This is a hands-on team effort that helps race morning run smoothly! There is no specific end time — once setup tasks are completed, we’ll wrap up for the evening.

Kids’ K Support Volunteers will help create a fun and exciting experience for our youngest runners by lining them up by age group, cheering them on along the course, and handing out medals as they cross the finish line. We’re looking for energetic volunteers who can help encourage and celebrate the kids throughout the race!

Post Race Refreshment Table

Water Station Volunteers will help set up and operate the race course water station located between Simpson Elementary and BUMC. Volunteers will assist with handing out water to runners, cleaning up cups along the course area, and helping tear down and tidy the station after the race. Race staff will deliver tables, coolers, cups, gloves, and trash bags to the location at 7:30 a.m. on race morning.
